I’m Alex, the founder of The Free Range Café here at Trowbridge Town Hall. I initially garnered my cheffing skills here in England, where I had my first restaurant. I then spent many years working in the USA, France and Spain with a restaurant and catering company.

It was in 2014 that I set up my pie company. I was taught to make pastry by my grandmother. People always told me that I should sell my pies, so that’s what I did. It all started with pies. They are still at the core of what we do at The Free Range Café – with award wining pasties and pies available to eat in or takeaway.

Keeping it free range and local is important to us. Working with local suppliers to make sure our ingredients are high quality and sustainably sourced, making our food the best it can be. Kettlesmith Brewery, The Leafy Tea Company and Lick The Spoon are just a few of the local businesses we work with.

Trowbridge Town Hall is in the heart of the Town. We’re thrilled to be a part of its future. Pop in to say hello, grab a takeaway coffee, or meet with friends and family in this beautiful building we’re proud to call our home.

Contact the Town Hall team to enquire about catering for events in the building. Visit our website to see our café menu.
