Gentle Years Chair Yoga
6-week introductory course (Wed. 8th June – 13th July)
Come along to this Gentle Years Chair Yoga Course designed for the over 60s to help support strength, flexibility and balance as well as mind-body coordination.
Classes are done seated and include some gentle flowing movements with the breath, some exercises to help increase stamina and some calming relaxation and will be modified to the needs of the group.
Some props may be used during sessions, many of which can be found around the home and you will need to bring you own yoga mat to place under your chair for stability.
All participants will be asked to complete a course registration/health from prior to joining. Advance booking essential.

Sessions take place from 2pm – 3pm in the Old Court Room. Please wear loose clothing that you can move in and do not eat a big meal for at least 2 hours before the class, although a light snack is advisable. Please bring a yoga mat (if you have one); a yoga block or towel; a ball or scarf (if you have them.)
